Lindgren Doubles Twice

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Erick Lindgren

Erick Lindgren has been pretty short for the last few levels of play, but he's recently found a couple double ups that have put him back in the thick of it.

On the first hand, Tuan Vu shoved on Lindgren from the small blind. Lindgren called from the big.

Lindgren: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Vu: {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} giving Vu a pair and the lead, but that didn't last long as the {10-Clubs} came on the turn, stealing back the lead for Lindgren. The river was a safe {J-Clubs} and Lindgren doubled for the first time.

On the second hand Jonathan Taylor made a raise to 20,000 from middle position. Lindgren moved all in on the button and was snap called by Taylor.

Lindgren: {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Taylor: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

"Let me know when you get there," said Blake Bohn who was seated right next to Lindgren.

And Lindgren did in fact get there on the {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river was the {8-Diamonds}, both safe cards for Lindgren and he scooped the pot for his second double up.
