Big Pot; Bush Odd One Out

Level 11

Stud Eight or Better

We arrived at the table on the river, which was contested three ways with four-bet action, resulting in the following showdown.

Scott Bohlman: {a-}{4-}{6-}/{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Nick Guagenti: {10-}{k-}{9-}/{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Dustin Bush: {x-}{x-}{x-}/{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Bohlman won the low with 6-4. Guagenti won the high with a full house, and Bush mucked. After the hand, Bush claimed he held a 7-5 low on fifth street, but after being bested by Bohlman he is down to about 30,000. Bohlman is up to 28,000, while Guagenti sits with 42000.

Seaman Takes From Waxman

Level 12

Hold'em

Matt Waxman check-called Jon Seaman after a flop of {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. He did the same after a {6-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river. Seaman showed {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} to take the pot, and it appears he's picked up where he left off as last night's chipleader.

Liu Gives Up

Level 12

Omaha Eight or Better

David Chiu checked and called a bet from Xuan Liu on a {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop. He check-called again when the dealer dropped another queen on fourth street. The river fell {10-Spades}, and Chiu checked once more.

"I give up," Liu said.

"The only hand you can beat me with is kings full," Chiu said, tabling {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Liu mucked her hand, and Chiu took the pot.

Zaichenko Bests Kelly

Level 12

Omaha Eight or Better

Dan Kelly raised pre-flop, and only Andrey Zaichenko called. Kelly continued on a flop of {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and Zaichenko called again. Then Zaichenko check-raised the {9-Hearts} turn card. Kelly called, and the players saw the dealer reveal the {q-Clubs} on the river. Both players checked, and Zaichenko showed {10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-}. With no qualifying low, his two pair, aces and nines was enough to win the pot.

Chad Eliminated

Norman Chad got rivered.
Norman Chad got rivered.

Omaha Eight or Better

We got to Table 440 just in time to see poker personality Norman Chad be sent to the rail. Chad held {a-}{a-}{2-}{q-}, and his opponent had {a-}{5-}{x-}{x-} on a board of {4-}{3-}{9-}. Chad faded the turn, but on the river the dealer revealed a deuce, and Chad's opponent made a wheel.

Meanwhile, at Table 439, Hassan Habib, who was being blinded off for the last 90 minutes, has finally showed up.

Schneider Busts Matheny

Level 12

Omaha Eight or Better

Michael Reed raised pre-flop, Tom Schneider called, and Michael Matheny three-bet. Both Reed and Scheider called, and the three players saw the flop fall {7-Hearts}{k-Spades}{9-Spades}. Schneider checked, Matheny bet, and both his opponents called. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Schneider led out, and Matheny called all-in for less than a full bet. Reed folded, and the players revealed their cards:

Schneider: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Matheny: {3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

There would be no qualifying low, and at this point Schneider was ahead for high with his two pair, sixes and sevens. Matheny received a little help, but not enough, when the dealer turned over the {2-Spades} on the river, and Tom Schneider has busted him from the tournament.

Habib's Board Sends Bloch Running for Cover

Level 12

Stud

Hasan Habib: {2-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Andy Bloch: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Habib raised Andy Bloch's bet on fourth, and Bloch called. Both players caught good on fifth: Bloch the {a-Hearts}, and Habib the {k-Hearts}. Bloch called Habib's bet. Sixth brought yet another heart for Habib, this time the ten. Meanwhile, Bloch caught a blank and folded to Habib's bet.

"I needed that heart," Habib said, revealing {q-}{2-} as his down cards.
