Chiu and Liu Continue to Battle

Level 13

Razz

During the money bubble, David Chiu and Xuan Liu continued to clash, as they've been doing much of the afternoon. Chiu bet on fifth street showing {2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}, and Liu called showing {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. On sixth street, Chiu paired his deuce, and Liu received the {9-Spades}. Both players checked, and they checked again on the river. Chiu showed {8-}{7-}{x-} and took the pot with his 8-7.

Alan Enciso Eliminated in 97th Place

Level 13

Razz

Alan Enciso got the last of his chips in the middle against Tom Koral.

Enciso: {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Koral: {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}

With three to a wheel, everything was looking dandy for Enciso as we waited for the other tables to finish their hands. Finally, the dealer began running out the hand. Enciso picked up an eight but also two kings and another five, meaning all Koral needed to beat was king-low. He would up with an eight-low, and Enciso was the unfortunate victim of the bubble.

Heimiller Takes Huge Pot; Sylvia Short-Stacked

Level 14

Razz

We arrived at the table on the river, with three players involved and a small mountain of chips in the middle. The players' boards were:

Jesse Syvlia: {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Dan Heimiller: {k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Stewart Yancik: {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Sylvia folded to a river bet, and Heimiller showed [ax3x4]/{k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a hidden wheel. Yancik folded, and Heimiller raked in a huge pot. He's now up to 84,000, while Sylvia is short-stacked with 8,000.

Kelly Climbing

Level 14
Dan Kelly is lurking with an average stack.
Dan Kelly is lurking with an average stack.

Razz

Dan Kelly fired fifth, sixth and seventh with a jack-high board against an opponent's jack-high board. Kelly had three babies to go with it, while his opponent had three to a six-low. Kelly's opponent folded on seventh, and Kelly, who was down to just five big bets recently, is now building momentum.

Andy Bloch Eliminated

Level 14

Stud Eight or Better

Andy Bloch, runner up of the 2006 WSOP $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, has been eliminated. On his last hand, Bloch was all in for his last 1,100, and only Andreas Krause was the only caller. When the dealer ran out the players' boards, Krause made two pair, eights and fours. Bloch showed only a pair of deuces and has been eliminated.
