Mackey's Jack-Low Good

Level 17

Razz

We found James Mackey and Scott Bohlman heads up in Razz with a large pot brewing. Mackey bet every street until seventh, while Bohlman called down. Mackey checked on the end. Bohlman, after some thought, checked behind.

Mackey: {a-}{3-}{k-}{j-}
Bohlman: {7-}{6-}{k-}{q-}

"Jack," Mackey said, seeming resigned as he tabled {j-}{8-}{7-} in the hole. Bohlman slowly slid his cards to the dealer, however, and Mackey dragged a large pot.

We found Randy Ohel, showing {9-}{7-}{5-}{2-}, contemplating a bet on seventh street from Kwang Choi, who had {5-}{9-}{3-}{a-}. Ohel seemed to agonize over the decision for a minute before ultimately folding.

"Good laydown," Choi said, showing Ohel the respect and the {2-}{4-} in the hole.

Full House for Zaichenko

Level 16

Omaha Eight or Better

David Chiu bet out on the river with the board reading {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, and Andrey Zaichenko raised. Chiu paused for a few moments before pushing his chips forward for a call, telling Zaichenko a full house is good if he has had. Zaichenko nodded and turned over {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a rivered tens-full. Chiu muttered "Wow" under his breath and mucked his cards, implying he has well ahead before the river.

Despite the loss, Chiu still has 76,000. Zaichenko, after taking in that pot, sits with 150,000.
