The Kid is Back

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

When Spencer Uniss woke up in the small blind with {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, he shipped his short stack of 58,000 into the middle.

Ken Stroud saw an opportunity to eliminate an opponent and move one step closer to the final table, so he decided to call with the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

Stroud found himself dominated by Uniss' better kicker, and the final runout of {9-Spades}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} left Stroud with an inferior two pair.

"You didn't believe me?" Uniss asked Stroud, while stacking his newly acquired chips.

"What's that got to do with it?" Stroud shot back, obviously frustrated that he had not found the coin flip situation he was looking for when he made the call.

"The kid is back!" replied Uniss to nobody in particular, obviously excited at earning a second chance to bag and tag chips at the end of the night.
