Buzgon and Staszko Chop Up Caramatti

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Daniel Buzgon raised to 1,300 in the cutoff, Martin Staszko three-bet to 3,500 on his direct left, and Niccolo Caramatti moved all in for 8,250 in the small blind. Buzgon re-shoved for around 39,000, and Staszko tanked for nearly two minutes before calling.

Buzgon: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Staszko: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Caramatti: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Caramatti was in bad shape, and Buzgon and Staszko chopped him up when the board came {8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

There have been several other eliminations, including Ludovic Lacay, Erik Seidel, Max Heinzelmann, Mike Leah, Jeff Gross, and John Eames.

Anderson Versus Sands

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We plan on seeing David "Doc" Sands and Calvin Anderson mixing it up against one another today as they are sitting at the same table. The first encounter that we witnessed was a hand already on the flop.

The flop read {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Sands had already checked. Anderson bet out 1,350 and Sands called.

The turn came the {9-Clubs} and again was the same, check by Sands, bet of 2,250 by Anderson, and a call by Sands.

The river brought a fourth club with the {3-Clubs} and Sands checked again. This time the bet from Anderson was larger as he came out with 6,750. Sands called in a heartbeat. Anderson was happy to flip over his {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} nut flush.

Sands mucked and went down to 23,500, while Anderson went up to 92,000.

Parker Takes "Big Dog" for a Walk

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

On a {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop we saw Brock Parker push all in for 8,075. Barry "Big Dog" Lang made the call and Mike Watson, after some thinking, folded his button. Parker showed {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for two pair, while Lang tabled {8-Clubs}{7-Spades} for top pair and an open ended. The {10-Diamonds} was not good enough and neither was the {K-Hearts} on the river for Lang. Parker doubled, Lang lost some and in the meantime Watson is the biggest stack at the table.

Steinberg Gets Two Out

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

When we came up three hands were flipped. We knew for sure one was Max Steinberg. He had two opponents covered and all in preflop. The hands were:

Max Steinberg: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Opponent 1: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The flop came {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. That gave each opponent a little something with Steinberg in the lead with his pair of jacks. The turn gave even more sweat with the {4-Diamonds}. The river was the {3-Spades} and all the draws missed giving Steinberg the best hand with a pair of jacks.

Steinberg got the double knockout and skyrocketed to 93,500.

Gagliano's Tens Good For Double Up

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

We walked into a hand just as two players were all-in, Michael Gagliano and Kurt Jewell. Gagliano went in for his last 27,800 with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and Jewell called with {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

The board came {2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}, which was good for a double up that brings Gagliano's chip count to around 55,000 in chips.

Binger Versus Metaal

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

On a {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop we saw Govert Metaal bet 1,500 from the button. Nick Binger had checked and now called to see a turn: {Q-Spades}. Both players checked and the {4-Diamonds} popped up on the river. Binger bet out 3,525 and after some thinking Metaal made the call. Binger said "King high" and Metaal showed his {A-Spades}{3-Clubs} to take down the pot.
