We had perfect timing, as we walked up just as the cards were being tabled in an all-in preflop confrontation between David Steicke and recent bracelet winner Josh Pollock.
Pollock:
Steicke:
Steicke was the one who was all in on his first lammer, and he secured the double up after the board ran down , giving Steicke a full house. Pollock is still plenty fine with 4,400 and both lammers left to cash, while Steicke is also doing well for himself, with 3,800, and both lammers as well.
We walked up to the table just in time to see 2010 November Niner Joseph Cheong move all in for his last 1,025 on a board that had completed . The pot had about 1,300 in it, and Cheong had already cashed in both his lammers, so this move was for his tournament life. His opponent tanked for over a minute before giving up on the hand, and Cheong collected some much needed chips.
As we arrived at the table, we saw Bryan Micon committing the last of his 550 chips preflop, and he found two callers. The flop came down , and after the small blind checked, the big blind moved all in. The first player folded, and the cards were tabled.
Micon:
Opponnet:
Micon had outs to catch up to his opponent's flopped two pair, but the turn and river completed and , securing the win for his opponent.
Micon tossed in his first lammer, and will have one more left to cash in.
We caught up with the action in a four way pot on the river, with the board showing . Two players, including Ryan Lenaghan, checked to Wade Townsend, who fired out 600. Everyone else folded, but Lenaghan quickly called. Townsend announced "king high", and Lenaghan showed for sixes full of queens.
Despite winning that hand, it's hasn't been the best start for Lenaghan, as he is down to 3,100, and has already cashed in his two lammers.
