Griffin Benger Eliminated in 14th Place ($23,513)

We just saw a pot that had about 25% of the chips in play on the line, and saw Griffin Benger eliminated in absolutely brutal fashion. Richard Dubini raised it to 44,000 from under the gun, and it folded around to Peter Hengsakul. As he has done several times today, he over bet the pot, moving all in for 1.2 million. It folded around to Griffin Benger in the big blind, and he announced call! Dubini quickly folded, and the cards were tabled.

Benger was in prime position to take a massive chip lead in the tournament, and the flop was safe for him, coming . The came on the turn, and Benger was still out in front. Well, you can probably guess what happened on the river.

River:

Benger understandably yelled in agony at the site of the card, saying "no F***!" He looked up at the ceiling in absolute shock as the 5% shot came through on the river. The stacks were counted down, and Hengsakul had Benger covered by 100,000, ending his day in unbelievable fashion.

After winning that hand, Hengsakul is now the commanding chip leader with 2.4 million.

Chip Lead for Vrooman

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Allen Cunningham opened to 50,000 and both Allan Vrooman and Matt Berkey made the call from the button and big blind respectively.

Cunningham continued for 75,000 on the flop with only Vrooman making the call as the landed on the turn and Cunningham fired once more for 100,000.

Vrooman hesitated slightly, but then made the call as the rolled off on the river and Cunningham checked. Vrooman pushed out a bet of 250,000 and Cunningham quickly mucked.

With this pot, Vrooman takes the chip lead with nearly 1.4 million.

Griffin Benger entered the pot with a raise to 41,000 only to have Chad Eveslage three-bet all in for roughly 500,000. From the big blind, Peter Hengsakul moved all in for 610,000, and after a few moments of deliberation, Benger flashed before mucking it.

The board wouldn't connect for Eveslage as he was bounced out in 15th place for a $23,513 payday while Hengsakul moved to 1,120,000 in chips.

Jorge Breda opened the button to 44,000 only to have Allan Vrooman three-bet to 135,000 from the small blind. Breda folded and Vrooman collected the pot.

On the next hand Breda tried again and made it 44,000 from the cutoff only to have Vrooman three-bet to 135,000 from the button on this occasion. Breda folded and Vrooman raked in another pot.

Action folded to Griffin Benger in the cutoff, and he raised to 41,000. Richard Dubini called on the button, and Garry Gates also called in the big blind. The flop came down , and it only took Gates about 10 seconds to announce all in, a bet of 177,000. Benger immediately asked for a count, and when he got the number, he folded. Dubini tanked for about 30 seconds before folding, though he didn't look happy about it.

After taking that hand, Gates is back up to 315,000.

Neto Doubles Through Berkey

Neto checked and Berkey bet out 58,000 which prompted a fold from Berger but an all in from Neto for his 345,000. Berkey went into the tank for over a minute before eventually making the call.

Berkey Scores Huge Double Through Dorneles Neto

Joao Dorneles Neto and Matt Berkey had already done battle in a big pot earlier today, so we thought they might butt heads again. Sure enough, they got in a huge all in confrontation preflop that saw Berkey score a huge double up.

Dorneles Neto started the action by raising to 32,000 in the cutoff, and Berkey three bet it to 100,000. It folded back around to Dorneles Neto, and he tanked for alittle over a minute before announcing all in. Berkey snap called.

Hengsakul Doubles Through Nicholson

Nicolas Fierro started the action by raising in early position to 32,000, and it folded around to David Nicholson in the small blind. He made the call, and then Peter Hengsakul shoved all in from the big blind for 262,000. Fierro got out of the way, but Nicholson made the call.
