Puchkov Makes an Eight-Perfect

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 2,000 ante

Hand #12: David Bakes Baker made it 18,000 to go from the hijack and received zero callers.

Hand #13: Jon Turner raised to 24,000 from the cutoff and Layne Flack called from the big blind. Both players drew one card and Flack led out post-draw for 43,000. Turner folded and Flack took it down.

Hand #14: John Hennigan to 22,000 opened UTG+1 and it folded around to Jesse Martin's button. He cut out a re-raise to 70,000 and the blinds folded. Hennigan followed suit and Martin grabbed the pot.

Hand #15: Konstantin Puchkov opened with a raise to 21,000 from the hijack and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #16: Turner raised from under the gun and made it 24,000 to go. Puchkov called and the two were heads up to the draw. Turner tapped the table to signify standing pat and Puchkov drew one. Turner checked and Puchkov took this opportunity to fire 50,000. Turner went into the tank before calling and Puchkov fanned {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for an eight-perfect. Turner mucked and Puchkov took down the pot.
