Hinkle Doubles Up to Average

Level 9 : 0/0, 300 ante

Blair Hinkle got all his chips in preflop and was at risk. He had {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. His opponent had {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades}. The turn came the {5-Clubs} and the river the {3-Hearts}. With that Hinkle got a much needed double. He went up to an average stack of 25,000.

Tran Calls it Off

Level 9 : 0/0, 300 ante

JC Tran, who had bled off some chips since the last time we checked on him, fired out 4,600 on the river on a board of {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. His opponent put him all in, and Tran began tanking. Finally, he called off his stack.

"Two pairs," his opponent said, turning over {k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. A relieved Tran rolled over {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a higher two pair, and he's nearly back to his peak stack.

Desilva Out the Door

Level 8 : 0/0, 200 ante

We're not sure how it happened but Upeshka Desilva and Rhys Jones got all of Desilva's money in. Desilva was holding {7-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Jones held {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

The board fanned out {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Desilva received no help and he was sent out the door. Jones however went to a very healthy stack of 46,000 after the hand.

Adam Levy Here on Day 1 of the Ante-Only Tournament

Adam "roothlus" Levy called a bet on the {j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, and both Levy and the bettor checked the {q-Diamonds} on the turn.

When the {9-Spades} completed the board on the river, both players tapped the table once again.

"Ace," announced Levy, while tabling the {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. His top pair proved to be the winner, and Levy moved his stack over the 20,000 mark with the win.

Plenty of Extras Being Given Away At This Year's WSOP

Level 8 : 0/0, 200 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Berkey Drags One

Level 8 : 0/0, 200 ante

A player fired 3,100 into Matt Berkey, who was on the button, on a board of {3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Berkey called, and the river came {10-Spades}. Both players checked.

"Ace high," Berkey's opponent said. Berkey tossed in {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a pair of sevens and a missed straight draw and took the pot.
