King-High No Good for Kelly

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

William O'Neil limped in from under the gun, Jeff Lisandro made it two bets on his direct left, Matthew Wood called in the cutoff, James Dempsey called on the button, Dan Kelly called in the big blind, and O'Neil called as well.

Kelly led out on a flop of {3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, Lisandro and Dempsey called, and the turn was the {6-Clubs}. Kelly led out again, this time only Lisandro called, and the river was the {7-Hearts}. Both players checked.

"King-high," Kelly announced, showing {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

"King-high?" Lisandro echoed, confused.

He then showed {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for the nut low and ace-high, scooping the pot.
