Noah Vaillancourt Eliminated in 21st Place ($19,731)

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Noah Vaillancourt - 21st Place
Noah Vaillancourt - 21st Place

David Borrat raised to 19,000 on the button, Noah Vaillancourt moved all in for 121,000 out of the small blind, and Borrat called.

Borrat: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Vaillancourt: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Vaillancourt was in great shape to double, but the {j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop gave Borrat a pair of jacks. The {8-Clubs} on the turn was no help to Vaillancourt, and the {j-Spades} completed the board, giving Borrat trip jacks and putting the nail in Vaillancourt's tournament coffin.

Kaverman: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Kaverman Chips Up

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Noah Vaillancourt raised to 17,000 from the hijack seat, Byron Kaverman defended his big blind, and both players checked on a flop of {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Kaverman led out for 31,000 on the turn ({9-Diamonds}), Vaillancourt called, and the {7-Spades} completed the board. Kaverman tanked for nearly two minutes before betting 38,000, and Vaillancourt tank-folded.

Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

Chris Hunichen raised to 20,000 in the cutoff, Will Givens moved all in for 139,000 out of the small blind, and Hunichen called.

Hunichen: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Givens: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Givens held as the flop, turn, and river came {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts}, doubling to 292,000. Hunichen plummeted to 36,000.

Two hands later, Hunichen moved all in for 34,000 from under the gun, Givens called in the cutoff, and Andrew Lichtenberger three-bet to 80,000 from the small blind. Givens folded.

Lichtenberger: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Hunichen: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

This time "Big Huni" held the dominating ace, and the start-of-day chip leader held as the board ran out {2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

He now sits with 116,000 chips, while Lichtenberger slipped to 436,000.

Benger Exacts Revenge

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Griffin Benger shoved prefop for the third time in a row — this time from under the gun — for 95,000. Action folded over to Kevin Eyster on the button and he called. When it was on Pratyush Buddiga in the big blind he shoved for around 350,000. Eyster folded and the hands were turned up.

Benger: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Buddiga: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Benger needed help to survive and it came quickly on the {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. The {5-Clubs} turn and {J-Clubs} river bricked for Buddiga and Benger tripled up.

"Ship it all!" Benger said as he raked in the 300,000 pot.

Musumeci Runs into Vaillancourt's Aces

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Noah Vaillancourt
Noah Vaillancourt

Noah Vaillancourt raised to 13,000 from under the gun, Amanda Musumeci three-bet to 29,000 on his direct left, and the action folded back to Vaillancourt, who moved all in for 87,000. Musumeci called.

Vaillancourt: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Musumeci: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Vaillancourt had Musumeci dominated, but she flopped a sweat when the dealer fanned {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Hearts}. The turn was paint, but the {j-Spades} was a brick, as was the {2-Clubs} on the river.

Musumeci fell to 98,000 chips, while Vaillancourt doubled to 189,000.

Kottler Puts Kanit to the Test

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit raised to 12,000 in the cutoff, Jeremy Kottler three-bet to 28,000 on the button, and Kanit made the call.

The two took a flop of {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Kanit checked, and Kottler fired out 25,000. Kanit called. The turn was the {10-Spades}, Kanit knuckled again, and Kottler bet another 41,000. Kanit check-raised to 92,000, Kottler called, and the {j-Diamonds} completed the board.

Kanit checked a third time, Kottler moved all in for effectively 147,000, and Kanit tanked for around two minutes before folding.

Kottler chipped up to 885,000 chips, while Kanit is down to 147,000.

Benger Gets Some Back

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Pratyush Buddiga raised to 12,000, Griffin Benger moved all in for 27,000, and Greg Merson cold four-bet to 50,000. Buddiga folded.

Benger: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Merson: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Benger was in trouble, but the {q-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop gave him an up-and-down straight draw along with a flush draw. He hit neither on the turn, but the {j-Spades} gave him a superior pair. The {7-Clubs} on the river gave him a flush for kicks and giggles, and he doubled through.

Merson dropped down to 115,000 chips.
