Bounty For Puchkov

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Stud Hi-Low

On the table of Vanessa Selbst, Konstantin Puchkov has had a few roller coaster levels as we saw him with as low as 5,000 and as high as 15,000 chips. He managed to almost double that in the last two hours or so, just now he knocked out a short stack when completing with the {5-Hearts} showing.

The short stack moved all in for 1,600 with the {9-Spades} showing and had a pair of nines until sixth. He threw the final card towards the dealer to declare defeat and the Russian scooped the pot.

Puchkov: {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} / {5-Hearts}{A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} / {10-Hearts}

The Year of The Germans?

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Dominik Nitsche has won his second golden bracelet at the WSOP 2014 and the third in total to score a third bracelet for Germany at the current Series.

The other victory was on behalf of George Danzer and the mixed game specialist is sitting on a very healthy stack right now whereas Gregor Derkowski next to him has hit the rail in the last half an hour.

Bonomo Won't Be Adding Any POY Points in Event #25

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Stud Hi-Low

Justin Bonomo, who currently leads the 2014 WSOP Player of the Year race, has been nursing a short stack for awhile, and his time just ran out courtesy of John Lane. It happened in the last hand of Level 9 when Lane completed with the {A-Hearts} and then Bonomo raised to 1,200. Lane called and then bet fourth. Bonomo moved in for 900 total, and Lane called.

Bonomo: {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} / {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Spades} / {J-Diamonds}
Lane: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} / {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades} / {4-Hearts}

Bonomo ended up with kings and jacks, but it was no good as Lane made a better two pair in aces and sevens.

Moed In Great Mood

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Stud Hi-Low

Michael Moed had two bets in with showing the {A-Spades} and an opponent made the call with the {A-Hearts} showing. Moed fired all streets until seventh and his opponent didn't see his bet at first, then called off.

Moed: {8-Spades}{3-Spades} / {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} / {9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts} / {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} / {10-Diamonds}

"I can't put you on aces up there if I have them," the opponent said. "Did you catch the eight on seventh?" Moed replied with "No, I had it rolled up already."

Friedman With a Wheel

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

Adam Friedman made two bets pre flop and got one caller to fire all the way on a {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} board. The opponent called every single bet and Friedman then announced "wheel" after the river. He tabled {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{A-Spades}{4-Hearts} and the opponent mucked.

On the other side of the tournament area we walked by the table of WPT tournament director Matt Savage and he has built a nice stack.

Schwartz Runs Out of Chips

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Stud Hi-Low

We only saw Ylon Schwartz all in for the remainder of his short stack on fifth and three opponents were still in the hand, one of them folding {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Seat one kept betting on sixth as well before he checked the seventh to David Tarbet. Tarbet checked behind and announced rolled up jacks.

Schwartz: (x-x) / {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} / {9-Hearts}
Seat 1: (x-x) / {Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts} / {X-}
Tarbet: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} / {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} / {3-Diamonds}
