Stewart Yancik Eliminated in 7th Place ($25,668)

Level 24
Stewart Yancik
Stewart Yancik

Hold 'Em

After losing 100,000 in the previous hand with {Q-}{Q-} against Tommy Hang's {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} on a {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board run out, Stewart Yancik would get his last 30,000 in the very next hand. Kristan Lord, Jim Collopy, and Tommy Hang would all see the flop of {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}. It was checked to Lord who had been the original pre-flop raiser and he bet. Collopy raised, Hang folded, and Lord re-raised putting himself all in. Collopy made the call and the three hands were turned face up.

Collopy: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for top pair
Yancik: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for two overs
Lord: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for an overpair

Lord was in the lead and it would stay that way on the {2-Spades} turn and {6-Hearts} river. Lord stood up, did a quiet fist pump in celebration, and Yancik was eliminated in seventh place.

More For Hang

Level 24

Limit Hold'em

Picking up with the action on a {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop, Tommy Hang led out with a bet and Chris George called from the button. Fourth street was the {K-Hearts} and Hang continued with a second bet. George called and the river was the {2-Clubs}. Hang put out one last bet and George moved out a call.

Hang rolled over {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} for trip aces, sending a jolt through George as he flashed the fourth ace - the {A-Clubs} - for top pair. Hang was pushed the pot and is now sitting around 1.43 million. George has dropped to around 355,000.

Collopy Scoops a Big Pot

Level 24

Omaha 8

It was folded to Jim Collopy in the small blind who raised. Chris George in the big blind made the call. The dealer fanned a flop of {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Collopy bet. George made the call. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Collopy bet and was called by George again. The river was the {8-Hearts} and the action repeated itself with Collopy betting and George calling.

Collopy turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} for the nut flush and the second nut low. George could only look at his cards in frustration as he turned them face up. He had {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a flopped set that was unable to best Collopy's flush. Collopy scooped the pot moving back over the million chip mark and George is slipping dangerously low.

Hang Over Villella

Level 24

Razz

Villella: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{8-}{J-}{Q-} / {x-}
Hang: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{9-}{9-}{8-} / {x-}

Action came around to Joe Villella and he brought it in. Tommy Hang made it two bets and it came back around to Villella who called. On fourth street, Villella continued out and Hang stuck around. Hang paired his nines on fifth, prompting another bet from Villella. Hang stayed the course, though, and both players checked sixth street.

On seventh, Villella fired out one last bet. Hang thought for about 20 seconds before putting forward a call. Villella instantly mucked his hand and Hang rolled over {A-}{4-}{2-} for a winning eighty-seven. Hang picked up the pot and now has about 1.5 million in chips. Villela's stack has dropped down to 130,000.

Level 24
Chris George
Chris George

Stud

After losing a good chunk of his stack in Razz to Kris Lord, Chris George got the last of his chips in against Joe Villella. The two would turn their hands over:

Villella: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
George: {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Fourth street would bring Villella trip kings as it was the {K-Diamonds}.The runout through sixth street would be as follows:

Villella: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for trip kings
George: {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for two pair, sixes and fours

George could hit only a six or four to stay alive. Villella's last card was the {4-Spades} taking one of George's outs. He squeezed and turned over the {7-Hearts} and was eliminated in sixth place.

Brandon Guss Doubles Through Tommy Hang

Level 25

Stud

Brandon Guss would get his last 63,000 in chips in on third street and find a taker in Tommy Hang. The cards were turned over:

Guss: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Hang: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

The next three cards would come out as follows:

Guss: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Hang: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Hang would turn over his seventh street card stating "I'm a favorite" as he had the {2-Spades} for two pair, fours and twos. Guss would need a jack, queen, ten, king, ace, or eight to stay alive. A ton of outs and he would hit one of them... the {J-Spades} to hit a Broadway straight. He survived and doubled up to 150,000 in chips.

Guss Doubles Through Collopy

Level 25

Stud 8

Guss: {x-}{x-} / {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} / {x-}
Collopy: {x-}{x-} / {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs} / {x-}

Picking up with the action on fourth street, Jim Collopy led out with a bet and Brandon Guss called. Collopy bet out again on fifth and Guss raised all in for 26,000 more on top. Collopy called and their hole cards were turned over.

Collopy tabled {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} while Guss showed {8-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flush and a low draw. Guess did not improve on sixth, but pulled the {5-Spades} on seventh to make his flush and an eighty-five low. Collopy mucked his final card and Guss secured himself a double to around 240,000 in chips.
