No More Spanish Jokes

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Heinz Kamutzki just walked passed us when we checked the last tables in the Pavilion room. He didn't hurry at all and confirmed that he has been eliminated. If he finds a shaver for his hair though, he may very well be breakeven for the day as someone offered $800 if he shaved the hair completely.

We shall see in the next few days if that indeed happened.

Only Five Tables Left in Pavilion

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Among the notable names that still freeze in the Pavilion room, we found the following players. They shall be in the Brasilia room soon though as only five tables remained and that means, we lost more than 400 players already in less than four levels.

A Game of Lodden Thinks

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Heinz Kamutzki threw $50 dollars across the table to Antoni Esfandiari who has started a collection of dollars behind his chips stack. As usual when Esfandiari is at a poker table he has initiated a game of Lodden thinks and has roped in a couplf of players to join in the fun. Esfandiari plays this game a lot.

“Nothing better than a game of Lodden with two fish.” Esfandiari crowed as he collencted the money.

Philipp Roch

While walking into the red section of the Brasilia room, we noticed that the seat of Philipp Roch was occupied by someone else. Fortunately, social media allows to stay in touch with players and thus we received the following update on what exactly happened.

No Luck For Polychronopoulos

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Victor Ramdin informed us about the elimination of Athanasios Polychronopoulos. He ran into the hidden pocket queens of an opponent that just flatted a raise and the short stacked Polychronopoulos could not get there with the {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Que pasa con Heinz?

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante
Heinz Kamutzki
Heinz Kamutzki

Heinz Kamutzki was involved in a hand with an opponent from Spain and joked on the {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop when his opponent bet 250. Kamutzki said the betting amount in Spanish and then asked "Was that correct?" The opponent nodded and then raised the {Q-Hearts} turn from 300 to 800.

Kamutzki called and then bet 900 after the {9-Spades} river. "Is that too much? I still think you gonna pay me off," Kamutzki threw towards the other side of the table. "Probably," was the reply from his opponent and he indeed got called. Kamutzki showed {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} as winning hand and raked in the chips.

Inselberg Felted

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

David Inselberg finished 8th in the $ 1,000 No Limit Hold'em (Event #9) early at this year's World Series Of Poker. Unfortunately, he won'
t repeat this success here in Event #33 as we just saw him heading to the rail. He called all in for his last 1,500 chips on the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs} river and then sighed an "ouch" when shown {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Inselberg only had {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and was knocked out.
