Perlman Eliminated

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Marc Perlman raised to pot under the gun, and action folded to Jonathan Depa, who repotted in the small blind. Fabrice Soulier thought for awhile before folding, and Perlman called off his remaining 15,000 or so.

Perlman: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Depa: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{k-Spades} flop was grim for Perlman, as it gave Depa kings. He improved to two pair on the {6-Spades} turn, and the {7-Clubs} was a brick.

Brett Shaffer, who began the day with the chip lead, just busted out.

He raised to pot from early position, and Ted Lawson tanked for about a minute on the button when action folded to him before repotting. Shaffer put in all of his chips.

Shaffer: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Lawson: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, giving Lawson the pot with kings.

Shaffer Loses a Chunk, Doubles Back Up

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Brett Shaffer bet 40,000 in position on a board of {3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, and his opponent in the blinds called. On the {5-Diamonds} river, Shaffer's opponent pushed all in, and Shaffer thought for a bit before folding, preserving his last 40,000 or so.

The next hand, he doubled through the same opponent when he got in with {k-}{j-}{q-}{10-} against {a-}{3-}{2-}{9-}. Shaffer's opponent flopped an ace, but Shaffer ran a flush to survive.

At another table, JR Reiss busted out.

Langmann Jams the Turn

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Florian Langmann called a bet of 15,000 from a middle-position opponent on a {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. Langmann's opponent fired 30,000 on the turn, and Langmann jammed, putting his opponent to the test for his last 81,000. The player thought for about 30 seconds before folding.
