"I Need the Board to Fill!"

Level 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

The board read {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} when Walter White called the all-in from Robert Vespa.

Walter White: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Robert Vespa: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

"I need the board to fill," said Vespa, after seeing his trip tens was behind to White's nut flush.

"It did!" responded several players at the table after the river fell the {7-Spades}, and Vespa hit a full house to swoop the pot and survive.

Pomaret Out

Level 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

A player opened to 650 in late position and Michel Pomaret, in small blind, pushed his remaining stack in the middle for 3,650. His opponent called and the players tabled their cards:

Michel Pomaret: {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
His opponent: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The {3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts} gave Pomaret some hopes, but the {7-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river didn't improve his hand and the French player was sent to the rail.

A {4-Hearts} fell on the turn and Nguyen check-folded after his opponent made a bet for half of the pot.

The 1998 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion and owner of five WSOP gold bracelets entered the tournament has now a stack a little bit above the starting stack.

Saliba Moves Up and Sends One to the Rail

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

The board read {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs} when Gabe Saliba raised his opponent all in. Saliba had his opponent covered, so there was a big decision to be made, and one that needed a couple of minutes thinking time.

Saliba's opponent took the risk however and made the call.

Gabe Saliba: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

River: {8-Clubs}

Saliba had turned the nuts after his opponent had flopped top two pair and held on the river to eliminate his opponent
and moved up to 35,000 from this initial 5,000 starting chips.

Donev Gets Value

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

In a raised pot, and with a flop showing {k-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Clubs} the player in small blind opened to 650 and Ivo Donev in big blind made the call.

Things heated up when a {9-Clubs} fell on the turn. The small blind bet 2,100 and Donev quickly min-raised to 4,200. His opponent three-bet all-in and Donev snap-called with {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for the nut straight. His opponent showed {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} for two pair.

The {j-Spades} river didn't change anything and Donev has now a stack worth 26,500

Defending Champ Maggio on the Rise

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

There were four players to the {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} pot when a player in early position bet 1,300. One player folded before Frank Maggio made it 5,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and after turning over the {a-Diamonds} so did the initial raiser.

Maggio flipped over the {10-Spades} to show trips after his opponent had shown him one card from his hand.
