Liberto Finds a Double Up from Unsal

Level 30 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

In a raised pot, the flop read {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} when Onur Unsal checked from the small blind. Justin Liberto, situated in the big blind, bet for 165,000 and Unsal made the call.

The turn fell a {j-Spades} and Unsal check-called once more, this time for 485,000.

On the river {a-Hearts}, Liberto moved all in for a remaining stack around 1,300,000 after another check from Unsal, putting the latter into a complicated decision. Unsal eventually called with {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} but only to see {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} in Liberto's hand.

Dianlei Zhang moved his last chips in the middle for a stack around 450,000 and got called by Jon Hoellein.

Zhang, holding {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, was dominating against Hoellein's hand holding {a-}{4-}, but {a-}{9-}{6-} fell on the flop, giving Hoellein a pair of aces. The turn and river brought no help to Zhang who made his way to the cashier to collect his $23,365 prize.

Christian Pham

Lester Edoc moved all in from the small blind and Christian Pham made the call from the big blind for his remaining 740,000, players turned over their cards and Pham was at risk.

Lester Edoc: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}
Christian Pham: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The flop came down {7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Edoc's pair of nines moved him ahead. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn and {2-Hearts} on the river did not improve Pham's hand and he was eliminated by Edoc.

Reuben Hoang Eliminated in 20th Place ($18,669)

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Reuben Hoang

Reuben Hoang opened under the gun for 130,000 and Paul Byrne pushed all in from the cutoff position, putting Hoang's tournament at risk. It folded back to Hoang who thought about it for a few minutes before opting for the call.

With {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for Hoang against {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for Byrne, it was a typical flip situation and the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts} runout gave a pair of queens to Byrne who eliminated Hoang from the tournament.
