Esfandiari Called Down

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Antonio Esfandiari fired a bet worth 4,600 on the flop of an {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board and his heads-up opponent check-called. The {q-Spades} was delivered on the turn and once again Antonio's bet was check-called, this time for 6,400.

The {9-Clubs} hit the river and Esfandiari fired a third bullet worth 10,300 and his opponent check-snapped. Esfandiari tabled the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} but lost to his opponent's {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Romano Doubles Before the Break

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Ray Romano
Ray Romano

According to the ESPN crew, Ray Romano was all in and at risk after an eight-high flop with two clubs and showed pocket kings. One opponent had folded, while the other called with {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for middle pair and a backdoor flush draw. Running eights gave Romano the superior full house and he doubled to remain in contention.

MacDonnell Busts Kostoulas

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Christopher Kostoulas
Christopher Kostoulas

Christopher Kostoulas couldn't be found in his seat anymore after the break. Marc MacDonnell said he had busted him just before the break:

Kostoulas opened to 2,700 from under the gun and MacDonnel three-bet to 7,700 from the button and Kostoulas called.

The flop came {10-}{8-}{3-} rainbow, Kostoulas check-called MacDonnell's 6,000 continuation-bet.

The turn was a {3-}, Kostoulas once again check-called the now 12,000 bet of MacDonnell.

The river was an {a-}, now Kostoulas check-called all-in for about 30,000. MacDonnell held {a-}{a-} for the full house, aces over treys, and Kostoulas mucked his hand.

Double for Neuville

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Lee Watkinson was in the cutoff, three-betting to 8,300 over a 3,100-raise from early position. Pierre Neuville cold four-bet shoved his 37,500 out of the big blind and the action stopped at Watkinson.

"What do you have, Pierre?" he asked. Neuville smiled but didn't say a word.

"Why so much?" Watkinson tried to get some information, but Neuville remained quietly waiting for Watkinson's move.

Watkinson eventually called and Neuville was ahead with {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} versus {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Watkinson spiked some additional outs on the {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} turn, but the river was the {8-Diamonds} and the former November Niner doubled.
