Bendor Quarters Guagenti

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Nick Guagenti raised from under the gun and called the three-bet of Yarron Bendor on the button. Guagenti checked and called a bet on the {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop before leading the {6-Diamonds} turn, Bendor called. The {5-Hearts} river went check, check, and Guagenti tabled the {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and ace-nine high.

Bendor had {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a pair and the nut low and claimed three quarters of the pot. Guagenti had already prepared his bets to be halved and quickly slid them forward, then apologized to Bendor to have acted "really fast" before adding "I was ready to get quartered, my mind had it set."

Bendor replied with a "I knew one would get quartered, but wasn't sure who." The start-of-the-day chip leader has pulled away from Guagenti once more.
