Schwartz Doubles Up

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Jake Schwartz
Jake Schwartz

After three bets went in pre-flop Jake Schwartz bet on the {5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop from the small blind and Robert Campbell called. Schwartz bet the {4-Hearts} turn and Campbell called again.

Schwartz flicked in his last 5,000 on the {a-Clubs} river and was all in. Campbell called.

Schwartz tabled {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} for two pair and a seven-five low. Campbell showed {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} but it wasn't enough and Schwartz doubled up.

Vartughian Doubles; Schwartz Too

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Ed Vartughian
Ed Vartughian

Ed Vartughian ended up all in once more on a {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} turn and Robert Campbell had to call fewer than one big bet by the time the turn showed. Campbell had just kings as Vartughian had the check mark with {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} for a wheel.

Jake Schwartz then won a pot off Campbell with {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for two pair and a low on the {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board. Schwartz's last 20,000 didn't go in, but he essentially doubled anyways as Campbell mucked.

Deeb Gets Quartered

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Shaun Deeb raised and Nick Guagenti called. Guagenti check-raised on a {6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and Deeb called.

Guagenti bet the {j-Spades} turn and {7-Diamonds} river and Deeb called on both streets.

Guagenti showed {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a straight and an ace-deuce low. Deeb showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for the same straight but an inferior low and was quartered.

Vartughian Doubles Up

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Ed Vartughian raised and David Benyamine called. Vartughian had 20,000 behind and Benyamine check-called to put his opponent all in on a {9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop.

Ed Vartughian: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
David Benyamine: {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The turn {6-Hearts} and river {q-Hearts} changed nothing and Vartughian doubled up.

Andrew Yeh Eliminated in 11th Place ($27,287)

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Andrew Yeh
Andrew Yeh

Andrew Yeh got the remainder of his short stack in after the {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop and he was called by table neighbor David Benyamine.

Yeh tabled the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Benyamine was trailing with {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Instead of a chop with a possible low, Benyamine got there with the {j-Clubs} turn and {j-Spades} river run out to hit a full house and send Yeh to the rail in 11th place for $27,287.

Campbell Rises Further

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

First to act, Robert Campbell raised and Andrew Yeh called from one seat over, as did Jake Schwartz in the big blind.

Schwartz checked the {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and Campbell bet, Yeh sigh-folded and Schwartz called. The {4-Hearts} turn brought another check-call by Schwartz before the {a-Clubs} river was checked. As soon as Campbell checked behind, he turned over his {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Schwartz sent his cards into the muck.

Campbell scooped another small pot against Ken Aldridge right after to pull further ahead at table 421.

Vartughian Chops Twice; Deeb Chips Up

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Shaun Deeb won a three-way pot against Robert Mizrachi and Owais Ahmed when the former bet the {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} turn to force a fold from Ahmed and receive a check-call from Deeb. They checked the {j-Hearts} river and Deeb tabled {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a full house.

Short stack Ed Vartughian then ended up all in twice, once against Ken Aldridge and the second time against David Benyamine.

In the first hand, Vartughian got it in with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a flopped straight on {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Aldridge had {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} and the {10-Hearts} turn and {8-Spades} river run out ensured the split pot.

Up next Benyamine held {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} against Vartughian's {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and the {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades} board resulted in a split pot again.

"All this for one chip. My friend keeps telling me all I need is a chip and two chairs," Benyamine joked.

Ahmed Scoops Deeb

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

In a battle button versus small blind, Owais Ahmed took on Shaun Deeb and they invested two bets on the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop. Deeb then check-called a bet on the {4-Clubs} turn and {2-Hearts} river to see Ahmed turn over {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} for a full house, deuces full of nines.

Deeb mucked his cards in disgust and dropped below half a million in chips.
