De Silva's Kicker Plays

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Upeshka De Silva raised to 13,000 on the cutoff and Ping Liu, in the big blind, called.

The flop was {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Liu checked it to De Silva who bet 12,000. Liu check-raised to 35,000 and De Silva added the remainder to call.

The turn came the {2-Hearts} and was checked through to the {3-Hearts} river. Again, both players opted to check. Liu showed {a-Spades}{10-Spades} but that wasn't good enough as De Silva revealed {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to rake in the pot with his queen kicker.

Hughes Pays Off Barzantny

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ryan Hughes checked in the big blind on {2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Wojtek Barzantny bet 71,000. Hughes called and the river was a {6-Hearts}. Hughes checked and Barzantny counted out his stack then slid in 109,000.

"You have to have deuces," Hughes muttered.

After thinking a couple of minutes, he called but couldn't beat {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Erwann Pecheux
Erwann Pecheux

Manig Loeser raised to 12,000 from the hijack and Erwann Pecheux called from the big blind.

A flop reading {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs} was dealt and Pecheux check-called a bet of 10,000 from Loeser.

The dealer burned and turned the {9-Hearts} and Pecheux checked again. Loeser fired a bet of 36,000 and Pecheux took a few seconds of reflection before check-raising all in for 101,000. Loeser made the call, and the players' hands were tabled.

Erwann Pecheux: {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Manig Loeser: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Pecheux had two pair and Loeser had a straight flush draw. The {9-Spades} filled up the river and Pecheux raked in the pot.

Weiss Doubles Through Hughes

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ryan Hughes opened for 13,000 on the button and Josh Weiss shoved for around 120,000 in the big blind. Hughes put in calling chips after some thought but his {a-Spades}{6-Clubs} was dominated by {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The {q-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Spades} brought a sweat but the {q-Diamonds} and {9-Clubs} ran out clean for Weiss.
