Expensive Flat; Marques Pays for House

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

A double for Martin Servais, denting the towering stack of Pedro Marques: Servais, out of position, led out on a {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and Marques made the call. The turn, an innocuous looking {6-Hearts}. Servais led again, this time for 13,600, with around 50,000 behind. After a brief think, Marques set Servais all in and was called immediately.

Marques: {3-}{3-} for a flopped house, threes full of kings.
Servais: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, turned a larger house.

Addamo and Jetten Hit the Rail

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Peter Jetten opened to 5,000 from under the gun and Shahar Levi three-bet to 16,000 in the hijack. Michael Addamo stuck in the last of his 7,000 chips in the big blind and Jetten four-bet shoved all in to get Levi out of the hand.

Jetten turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} which had Addamo in poor shape with {k-Spades}{4-Spades}. The board ran out {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Jetten sent Addamo to the rail.

In the very next hand, Levi raised it up to 4,800 and Oihan Abarzuza re-raised to 10,000 on his left. Jetten thought for a minute from the big blind before announcing all in for around 80,000. Levi instantly stuck in his 55,800 chips and Abarzuza called having both players covered.

Shahar Levi: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Oihan Abarzuza: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Peter Jetten: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Levi held on for a triple up. Abarzuza took down the side pot and Jetten was eliminated.

Ligeri Phones a Friend

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Justin Ligeri has had {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} cracked by the {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} of Michael Bailey this level, the majority of the money flying in on a {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} board. "I need the board to pair," said Ligeri when the hands were on their backs (a ten or running pair would counterfeit the three-four). The turn and river were the {5-Clubs} and {j-Spades}, however, and Bailey received a double through worth 70,000 x2.

Ligeri was immediately up and out of his seat, on the phone, saying, "I just lost a monster with pocket aces and I played it wrong..."

Pedro Marques: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Viliyan Petleshkov: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Huge Double for Simunic

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Ryan Olisar
Ryan Olisar

Josip Simunic now has 320,000 chips to play with after doubling through (now ex-) chip leader Ryan Olisar. The pot remained smallish, heads up to the turned five, when all the fireworks went off at once.

The board: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Simunic checked, Olisar bet and was check-raised to 26,000. Action back on Olisar, he raised again, to 60,000. Simunic, with a total remaining stack 157,000, went into the tank for longer than Olisar spent in there before his three-bet. Finally, he moved all-in and was called.

Olisar: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Simunic: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The river was the {4-Spades} and Olisar, who'd been approaching 500,000, had to even up stacks with Simunic.
