Frerichs Spikes Ace, Doubles Through Liel

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Christian Liel open-jammed from the small blind and Jeff Frerichs called for less in the big.

Christian Liel: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Jeff Frerichs: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Frerichs needed a good flop but it came a rainbow {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Hearts} and the {8-Diamonds} on the turn left Frerichs one option and that was pairing his ace on the river.

The poker gods answered Frerichs call as the river fell the {a-Diamonds} and he doubled through Liel.

Tens Hold for Lider, Eliminates Sekora

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Daniel Sekora open-jammed for 150,000 from middle position and Yosef Lider jammed over the top sitting directly to his left. The rest of the table folded and the two players were heads up.

Yosef Lider: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Daniel Sekora: {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Sekora needed help but didn't get it on the {j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop.

The turn came the {2-Diamonds} which gave Sekora a wheel draw and he now needed to pair an ace or five to win.

Unfortunately the river fell the {7-Hearts} and Sekora was eliminated from the tournament.

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Amir Lehavot fired an 85,000 continuation bet on a flop of {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and an opponent on the big blind called. The out-of-position opponent led out on the board-pairing turn {7-Spades}, and Lehavot called.

The river came the {k-Hearts}, and both players checked. Lehavot showed down the winner with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Stevenson Out-Kicks Opponent, Sends Him to the Rail

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A player open-jammed from middle position for 255,000 and Andrew Stevenson called from the big blind.

All In Opponent; {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Andrew Stevenson: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Stevenson had his opponent dominated and the rainbow flop of {2-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} didn't change anything.

The turn gave Stevenson's opponent the nut-flush draw as it fell the {7-Diamonds}.

Stevenson's opponent missed the river as it came the {k-Spades} and he exited the playing field.

Zarcadoolas Amasses Three Million

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Matthew Zarcadoolas is the first player to hit the three-million chip mark after taking down a massive pot against Simon Deadman.

Deadman opened to 65,000 from early position, Zarcadoolas three-bet to 180,000, and the action folded back around to Deadman. Both players checked the flop of {5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

The turn fell {4-Clubs}, and Deadman made a move with a 275,000 bet. Zarcadoolas called, and the river came the {2-Hearts}. Deadman gave up the fight after that, checking with Zarcadoolas checking back.

Deadman showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, no good against Zarcadoolas' {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.
