Hands #51-55: Takagi Doubles Up

Level 44 : 2,000,000/4,000,000, 4,000,000 ante
Koji Takagi

Hand #51: Jeremy Saderne shoved all in from the small blind and Andres Korn folded the big blind.

Hand #52: Saderne shoved all in again on the button and once again picked up the blinds and ante.

Hand #53: Yi Ma shoved all in from the small blind and Koji Takagi folded the big blind.

Hand #54: Takagi completed the small blind and Lula Taylor checked her option. The flop was {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Takagi checked, Taylor bet 5,000,000, Takagi check-raised to 19,000,000 and Taylor folded.

Hand #55: Takagi shoved all in for 17,000,000 on the button and Jeremy Saderne called all in from the big blind.

Koji Takagi: {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Jeremy Saderne: {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop brought nothing for Saderne to work with and the {9-Diamonds} turn kept Takagi in the lead. The river {2-Spades} changed nothing and Takagi doubled up.

Stefan Widmer Eliminated in 6th Place ($121,586)

Level 44 : 2,000,000/4,000,000, 4,000,000 ante
Stefan Widmer
Stefan Widmer

Hand #50: Stefan Widmer pushed all in for 21,500,000 in the hijack and Jeremy Saderne called out of the big blind.

Stefan Widmer: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Jeremy Saderne: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds} in the window was promising for Widmer, but it was followed by the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} on the flop. The {a-Hearts} turn brought shouts from the entire rail for a queen or a deuce respectively, but it was neither; the {5-Hearts} on the river ended Widmer's run in 6th place for $121,586.

Hand #46: Yi Ma raised to 8,000,000 from under the gun and Andres Korn three-bet shoved 58,000,000 from the small blind. Ma looked up towards the ceiling, contemplating what to do. He counted out his stack, gave it some more thought, then folded his hand.

Hand #47: Lula Taylor raised to 10,000,000 from middle position and Ma called from the big blind. The flop was {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Ma checked. Taylor bet 9,000,000 and Ma folded.

Hands #41-45: Korn and Widmer Jam

Level 43 : 1,500,000/3,000,000, 3,000,000 ante

Hand #41: Andres Korn jammed for 45,000,000 on the button and won the blinds and big blind ante.

Hand #42: Jeremy Saderne opened the action with a raise to 6,000,000 and Yi Ma three-bet to 16,000 out of the small blind to force a fold from Saderne.

Hand #43: Korn made it 7,000,000 to go in the hijack and Lula Taylor called in the big blind to see the {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop. Taylor checked and folded to a bet of 5,000,000 by Korn, who flashed the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}.

Hand #44: Taylor min-raised to 6,000,000 out of the small blind and Saderne called in the big blind. On a flop of {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}, Taylor bet 5,000,000 and that won the pot right there.

Hand #45: Stefan Widmer pushed all in for 21,500,000 and found no caller.

Hand #40: Taylor Doubles Through Saderne

Level 43 : 1,500,000/3,000,000, 3,000,000 ante
Lula Taylor
Lula Taylor

Hand #40: Koji Takagi raised to 6,000,000 and Lula Taylor called from one seat over. Jeremy Saderne spent some time in the think tank and three-bet all in for effectively 57,500,000, as that's what Takagi as the bigger stack had left.

Takagi folded and Taylor made the call.

Lula Taylor: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Jeremy Saderne: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Both Taylor's and Saderne's rail started shouting in support as the cards were turned over. Nothing changed on the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop, and Taylor improved to a straight on the {j-Clubs} turn. The French rail asked for a ten, but the {k-Clubs} river came a blank and Taylor doubled for 37,000,000 and gave Saderne a hug while her stack was counted out.

"I love you, Anthony," Taylor said to the dealer and added, "well, that was exciting".

Hands #35-39: Shoves Instead of Flops

Level 43 : 1,500,000/3,000,000, 3,000,000 ante

Hand #35: Lula Taylor raised to 9,000,000 from middle position and everyone folded.

Hand #36: Yi Ma raised to 8,500,000 from the small blind and Koji Takagi folded his big blind.

Hand #37: Takagi, now in the small blind, raised to 9,500,000 and Lula Taylor defended the big blind. Takagi directly shoved it in on a {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, putting Taylor to the test for her remaining stack of 35,500,000. She folded and showed the {a-Hearts}.

Hand #38: Stefan Widmer raised all in for 21,500,000 from middle position and everyone folded.

Hand #39: Taylor shoved all in on the button for 35,500,000 and everyone folded.
