Ahrens Doubles Through Manole

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Christopher Ahrens shoved all in from the hijack for 2,500,000. Mihai Manole, the other short stack at the table, re-shoved for 3,850,000. The rest of the table folded and the two hands were tabled.

Christopher Ahrens: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Mihai Manole: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Ahrens was in a dominating position and the flop of {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{5-Clubs} gave him a pair of kings. Manole actually picked up more outs with a straight draw but neither the {9-Clubs} or {6-Hearts} would save him in this situation.

Livingston Gets Short

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Alex Livingston lost two small pots, one of which was without showdown against fellow short stack Corey Burbick when he check-folded the {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} turn to a bet of 600,000.

David Vedral then raised to 400,000 and he was called by Duey Duong in the small blind and Steven Parrott in the big blind. The flop came {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and the action checked to Vedral, who bet 450,000. Duong raised to 1,300,000 and that won the pot without further resistance.

Stokkan Takes Two

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Adedapo Ajayi raised to 500,000 in middle position and Preben Stokkan called on the button.

"Not good enough to three-bet?" Ajayi said with a smile.

Ajayi bet 500,000 on the {2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and Stokkan called. Ajayi barreled again for 1,150,000 on the {10-Clubs} and again Stokkan stuck around. Check-check on the {j-Diamonds} river and Ajayi announced ace-high. It wasn't good as Stokkan had turned a pair with {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The next hand, Austin Lewis raised under the gun and Stokkan called. Lewis continued for 300,000 on the {k-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop but then checked the {4-Hearts}. Stokkan bet 1 million.

"No pair, no draw," Lewis said, sending his hand muckward.
