Kings for Kroon Propel Him to a Double

Level 11 : 200/400, 50 ante

"GoingNutz" limped under the gun and "Married" raised to 1,390 next to act. Wisconsin's Mark "wiscomurray" Kroon then three-bet to 4,562 from the cutoff and action folded back to "Married," who four-bet jammed for 51,809. Kroon had 18,145 behind and quickly called off.

Mark "wiscomurray" Kroon: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
"Married": {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Kroon was ahead and looking to avoid an ace, which he successfully did when the board ran out a lowly {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Melisa Singh
Melisa Singh

Melisa "NJ_Melisa" Singh open-jammed under the gun for 6,800 and she got isolation from "Quasar" who came over the top for 14,946 from middle position.

"Quasar": {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Melisa "NJ_Melisa" Singh: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Singh was behind holding live cards but she didn't mind the {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop that gave her hand even more outs.

The {4-Clubs} turn didn't change a thing but Singh connected with the {9-Spades} river to secure her double-up.

WSOP History: An Oral History of Chiptic, Part 1

Level 12 : 250/500, 60 ante
ChipTic
ChipTic

At the 2012 World Series of Poker, a shiny new product received its public unveiling. Players and fans the world over were introduced to a program with revolutionary potential. It could track the chip ebbs and flows of every player in a tournament while also serving as the back end operating system to run said tournament. It promised the ability to change the way poker tournaments were followed, with players and fans interacting at the stroke of a few keys.

That product was ChipTic. And it proved to be a colossal failure.

This is the oral history of ChipTic, from those who experienced it first-hand and witnessed that failure — three former employees, two members of WSOP staff and two poker media members who watched it implode.

"LuckBoxOU812" Eliminated by Negreanu

Level 13 : 300/600, 75 ante

Daniel "DNegs" Negreanu opened for 1,200 from the cutoff and the blinds called.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, "LuckBoxOU812" lead out for 2,070 from the small blind and "ItzBoss" folded from the big blind while Negreanu called.

The turn came the {6-Clubs} and "LuckBoxOU812" fired out 6,210 which was called once again by Negreanu.

The {k-Hearts} completed the baord on the river and "LuckBoxOU812" slowed down by checking their option to Negreanu who moved all in for 13,649.

"LuckBoxOU812" called for less holding 10,213 and rolled over {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for two-pair but it was no good as Negreanu rivered broadway {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to eliminate "LuckBoxOU812" from the tournament.
