Action River Card Pays Off Big for Negreanu

Daniel "DNegs" Negreanu raised to 1,000 from the cutoff and Robert "Marz5223" Marziotto called from the small blind.

When the flop came down , Marziotto check-called a bet of 1,000 and then action went check-check on the turn.

On the turn, Marziotto bet 5,040 and Negreanu jammed all in for 53,620 for a big overbet. Marziotto called with the for a straight but it was no good as Negreanu had the for the nut straight.

Tony "Panoramic" Dunst Looking For WSOP Bracelet #3

WPT Commentator Tony "Panoramic" Dunst has over $3.8 million in Hendon Mob recorded cashes to his credit, and with those million of dollars in earnings are a pair of WSOP Gold Bracelets, one of which he won in 2016 in the WSOP's Event #63: $1,000 No Limit Hold'em for $339,254 (which is actually just the fourth largest score of his career). The second bracelet was earned in last year's iteration of the WSOP Online Bracelet Series, in Event #21: $777 No Limit Hold'em 6-Max.

That event, which saw 1,361 entrants hit the virtual felt, saw Dunst hit the final table of six with a big chip lead, one he used to knock out the dangerous Jon "havuuuuuc" Turner and Krista “Pollux” Gifford in short order. Charles “ilosestackz" Phillips” and Alec “Tango_Bravo” Parslow fell next, and in heads-up play, James “paymycollege” Pace made a seven-high straight against Dunst with the stack sitting nearly even, but Dunst held a flush and left Pace with a single big blind. No chip and chair story came to fruition for Pace, and Dunst collected his second WSOP Gold Bracelet and $168,342 for the victory.

Dunst played a large slate of events in last year's events, and we'll be looking for him to be a frequent contender to add more WSOP hardware to his coffers during this summer's WSOP Online Bracelet Series.

Shorr held the better hand but the flop paired Diveglia and gave him an open-ended straight draw. Shorr needed to connect with either of his two overs but the turn left him drawing dead to the river and he re-entered the tournament.

Ross "BlueTang" Gottlieb Looking For a Taste of WSOP Gold

Columbus, Ohio's Ross "BlueTang" Gottlieb recorded four cashes in last year's WSOP.com Online Bracelet Series, but it was one huge run that defined his series, and brought him agonizingly close to earning his first career WSOP Gold Bracelet.

In Event #8: $500 NLH Freezeout, Gottlieb found himself at a final table of absolute crushers, including Robert "bustinballs" Kuhn, Scott "miamicane" Davies, and Randy "StayAlive" Ohel among others. Gottlieb was on the shorter side of the counts at the start of the final table, but took the majority of Kuhn's chips with queens to take a commanding lead with five players remaining.

When heads-up play commenced, Gottlieb was back in a 2:1 deficit against Alan "GladiusIII" Goehring, but looked poised to take back command of the battle when the final hand of the tournament took place. Gottlieb, holding king-nine, flopped a king-high straight, while Goehring held ace-three of clubs for a higher straight draw and a flush draw. Gottlieb went from retaking the chip lead to out in one card when the turn was a club, and Gottlieb was forced to settle for $73,942 for a second-place run.

Gottlieb, who describes himself on his Twitter bio as a "full time veterinarian, part time button clicker", is back in action for this year's series, and looks to have a full schedule of events to play in his quest to finish one spot higher in an event this year, and lay claim to a WSOP Gold Bracelet.

Bullet Through Stout's Heart

David "dbk8826" Koshar raised to 5,950 under the gun and Matt "RubberFist" Stout three-bet to 15,100 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Koshar and he moved all in for 54,504, which prompted Stout to call off for 48,650.

Stout was way out in front and stayed there on the flop. Unfortunately for him, the spiked on the turn to pair Koshar. The river was a brick and Stout opted not to re-enter the tournament.
