Doan Busts Opponent

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Christopher Doan three-bet to 4,500 from middle position and got one caller.

The flop came the {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Doan continued for 5,000 after it was checked to him. His opponent raised all in and Doan called.

Doan had the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} while his opponent had the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

Doan made the better two-pair on the turn as the {4-Spades} paired the board and the {3-Hearts} on the river secured the hand and gave him the rest of his opponents chips.

Smith Gets There

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Jerod Smith
Jerod Smith

On a flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, there was 3,500 in the middle and as the player in the small blind was thinking, Jerod Smith announced that he would like to bet the pot. The dealer then let him know that it was the small blind players' action. He then checked to Smith who was committed to the bet of 3,500.

The other four players in the hand quickly folded and when the action came back to the small blind he raised to 8,500. Smith only had 8,200 total and called quickly.

Jerod Smith: {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Small blind: {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Smith was behind his opponents' flopped set but the {10-Clubs} on the turn gave him a flush. Smith was able to avoid the board pairing when the {8-Spades} came on the river, sending him a full double up.

Remmel Rivers the Nuts for a Massive Pot

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a board of {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}, both Austin Remmel and his opponent put in 16,7000 each.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and the player first to act announced all-in for roughly 40,000 and Remmel snap-called. The player who jammed tabled {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a set of tens on the river but was shown the bad news when Remmel tabled {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for the nut straight on the river. Remmel had the opponent covered, forcing him to stand up from the table.

Perryman Uses Set of Kings to Leave Steinman Short

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Three players committed 2,400 to the middle as they went to the flop that came the {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Samantha Perryman bet 4,500, her first opponent folded, then Ian Steinman raised the pot which was enough to put Perryman all-in. She thought for a couple of seconds before she called.

Samatha Perryman: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Ian Steinman: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Steinman had the straight flush draw and a world of other outs to actually be ahead on percentage despite having the worst hand in the moment.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} to give Perryman the set of kings but it gave Steinman a double flush draw. Perryman faded the plethora of outs as the {8-Hearts} blank came on the river to give her the big double and leave Steinman with just a few chips.

McCormick Makes Broadway

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Tom McCormick
Tom McCormick

In a three-way pot, the flop was {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} and there was approximately 25,000 already in the middle. The player first to act checked to Tom McCormick who shoved his remaining 10,500 in the middle and the player on his left ripped for more, forcing the first player out of the pot.

Tom McCormick: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

McCormick's aces were behind the opponents' top two pairs and the {6-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing. The dealer dropped the {j-Diamonds} on the river though giving him the Broadway straight to stay in the tournament.
