Price Picks Up a Fan

Level 38 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Toby Price raised to 2,300,000 from the button. "I'm just following your suit. That's your raise so I thought that's what you're supposed to do," he told Paulo Joanello, who called.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Price continued for 2,500,000. Joanello called, then both players checked down the {5-Hearts} turn and {j-Hearts} river.

"Four-fifths of a straight flush," Price said, showing {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a flush to take the pot.

Price has added a rail to counter Joanello's large and passionate Brazilian following, a player who happened to be on break from another tournament and stopped to watch.

"You can root for me. Otherwise I have nobody," he said. "It's now 12 on two instead of 12 on one."
