Lamb Gets Chen to Fold

Level 24 : Limits 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

From under the gun, James Chen raised and Ben Lamb came along out of the big blind. The 883 flop was checked by Lamb who then check-raised a bet of Chen. Once Chen called, the 10 turn followed and Lamb bet near instantly, picking up a reluctant call by his table neighbour.

That led them to the J river on which Lamb bet again. Chen went into a brief tank and sent his cards into the muck.

Yass Hits Quads And Gets Value From Obst

Level 24 : Limits 80,000/160,000, 0 ante
Robert Yass
Robert Yass

James Obst raised it up from the cutoff and Robert Yass defended out of the big blind, which led to the 933 flop. Yass check-called to see the 3 appear on the turn and checked again. Obst bet and Yass went into the tank for more than two minutes, carefully examining his remaining stack, before he called.

The 2 river was checked by Yass and Obst bet again. This time, Yass check-raised rather quickly within a couple of seconds and Obst instantly had a smirk on the face. The Aussie mulled it over for a minute and called as Yass announced quads, tabling the Q1032 to scoop a decent pot.

Velador Wins Large Three-Way Pot

Level 24 : Limits 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

In a three-way three-bet pot to the 1083 flop, James Obst checked out of the big blind. Luis Velador bet for Ben Lamb to call and Obst then check-raised to earn calls from both opponents.

The K fell on the turn and Obst checked, Velador bet and the calls of Lamb and Obst followed.

That led them to the 8 on the river and Obst checked again. Velador bet to force out Lamb while Obst went into the tank. He eventually called and Velador announced ace-ten before revealing his AQ102. That won the pot as Obst flung his cards towards the muck.

The start of the final level for the night saw Johannes Becker and Brad Ruben chip up, too, while Velador leaped into second place.
