Kessler Stays Alive on the Bubble

Level 19

Seven Card Stud

Allen Kessler: XxXx/QJ89/Xx
Yuval Bronshtein: XxXx/AK96 - folded on sixth street
Josh Arieh: 5A/Q554/Xx

Kessler was all in for his last 10,000 with his ante and told the table that he would not be looking at his cards until he had to. Bronshtein completed, with Arieh calling.

Fourth street saw Arieh bet, with Bronshtein remaining in. Both players then checked on fifth.

Sixth street saw Arieh bet once more, which caused Bronshtein to fold. Arieh had three fives, but the first card that Kessler turned over was the 10 to give him a straight. His 8 and final 6 were meaningless. Arieh could still eliminate him by matching his current cards, but his 7 kept Kessler alive.
