Hand #198 - Ivan Demidov

Peter Eastgate has the button. He makes it 2 million to go. Ivan Demidov mulls things over, casually riffling chips. He settles on a re-raise to 6.175 million total. Eastgate mucks, much to the delight of the Russian contingent, especially a guy in a Soviet Army hat who has a Soviet flag draped over his shoulders.

Hand #193 - Peter Eastgate

Ivan Demidov has the button. He raises to 1,750,000 and Eastgate calls.

The flop is {9-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {4-Clubs} and both players check. The turn is the {3-Clubs}. Eastgate pushes out a 2,750,000 bet, and after looking back at his hole cards, Demidov makes the call. The {J-Clubs} falls on the river and Eastgate pushes the action again, betting 3,500,000. Demidov gives up his hand and Eastgate rakes in the pot.

Hand #192 - Peter Eastgate

Peter Eastgate
Peter Eastgate
Peter Eastgate has the button. He limps in from the small blind and Ivan Demidov checks the big blind. We see a flop of {8-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} Practically before Demidov has even rapped the table to check, Eastgate fires 1 million into the pot. Demidov is not so fast to fold. He calls.

The turn card is the {5-Clubs}, bringing quick checks from both ends of the table. Demidov also checks the river {9-Diamonds}. Eastgate reaches for his chip stacks and assembles a bet of 2.675 million. He is intently staring down Demidov, who glances from his chip stack to Eastgate and back to his chip stack. He announces, "Call" after about a minute. Eastgate shows {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} for a rivered pair of nines, which is good enough to take down the pot.
