Erle Mankin Stacks Two Players to Become Chip Leader

Level 17 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Big-O

The player on the button got all his chips into the middle before the flop against one player in middle position, who had about 80,000 to start the hand and Erle Mankin, in the cutoff, who had about 120,000.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}, the middle-position player shoved, Mankin called to put him at risk in the side pot, and all three players tabled their hands:

Button: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{10-}{4-}{4-}
Middle position: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Mankin: {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Mankin had a commanding lead with a six-high straight and the nut low, neither of which were duplicated by either of his opponents. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {K-Clubs} on the river changed nothing, and Mankin took the pot to send both of his opponents to the cage and take the chip lead.

Big-O
