Two Double Ups on Table 713

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Luther Tran
Luther Tran

Luther Tran jumped up from his seat, asking for low cards after being all in with {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} of table neighbor Hiren Patel.

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} and the pair of jacks held up to let Tran double for a massive 946,000, taking a serious chunk of Patel's stack.

Soon after, Paawan Bansal moved all in for his last 332,000 from under the gun and Paul Vas Nunes called from one seat over.

Bansal: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Vas Nunes: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop improved Bansal, and the {2-Hearts} turn and {K-Diamonds} river were both blanks to see Bansal double.

Edmund Chan Eliminates Two Players

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Kenneth Ray moved all in for his last 147,000 chips from under the gun. It folded to Edmund Chan on the button who flatted. Tomas Soderstrom then reraised all in over the top for 338,000 and Chan called as well, putting two players at risk.

Ray: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Chan: {q-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Soderstrom: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Ray's rail was buoyant at their player showing pocket aces, and were even louder once the relatively safe {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop was dealt.

The turn was the {5-Clubs}, sending Ray closer to a double up-and Soderstrom even closer to the rail. However, the {k-Diamonds} on the river gave Chan trips and he eliminated two players.

Cavanaugh Wins Flip Against Tolbert

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Clint Tolbert was the initial raiser from late position and he quickly called the shove of James Cavanaugh in the big blind.

Cavanaugh: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Tolbert: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

"You gotta win the first one. I haven't been all in yet for my tournament life," Cavanaugh said. The board came {J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Cavanaugh doubled.

A Couple of Treys for Joshua Marvin

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Joshua Marvin raised to 55,000 from under the gun and Shyam Srinivasan three-bet to 160,000 from the hijack. Marvin called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Marvin checked, Srinivasan bet 175,000, and Marvin called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and both players checked. The river was the {6-Diamonds} and both players checked yet again.

Marvin tabled {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a full house, sixes full of threes. Srinivasan looked back at his cards once more before sending them into the muck.

Caufman Talley Clipped While Paul Senat Doubles

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Paul Senat
Paul Senat

With already more than 400,000 in the pot, Caufman Talley and Paul Senat faced off with Talley in the small blind and Senat in the cutoff.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Talley thought for a bit, asked Senat how much he was playing, then decided to check. Senat made a bet of 275,000. Talley moved all in with a slightly covering stack, and Senat stood up from his chair.

"Oh man," Senat said. "Here we go. Call."

Talley was holding {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} but he was crushed by Senat's {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

"Keep it clear," Senat said to the dealer. "Let's go!"

The turn was the {2-Spades} keeping Senat in the clear. "One more, baby. Let's go," Senat continued. The river was the {10-Spades} and that improved Senat to a full house. He gave a fist pump as the dealer counted out his chips.

"We back in this now. Let's go, baby!" Senat said.

Meanwhile, Talley was left with crumbs — just under 200,000. He stayed quiet through the ordeal and just cut out the chips to send over.

Randy Lew
Randy Lew

Randy Lew defended his big blind and then checked to Shawn Daniels on a {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop. Daniels bet 57,000 and Lew called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and both players checked. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Lew checked again. Daniels bet 142,000 and Lew called.

Daniels showed {5-Spades}{6-Spades} for a missed gutshot straight draw, and Lew won the pot with {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

Antonio Della Sciucca Sends Jon Hoellein to the Rail

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jon Hoellein moved all in for 250,000 in early position. Mario Vojvoda called in middle position, and Antonio Della Sciucca reshoved from the small blind for 617,000. Vojvoda thought it over, looked at Della Sciucca, and folded.

Hollein was at risk with {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, and behind Della Sciucca's {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} {6-Spades} {3-Hearts} and Della Sciucca's ace-king high held up. Hollein was eliminated and made his way to the payout desk.

Pham Draws to a Chop Only; Gets There

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Christian Pham jumped out of his seat to celebrate and his chair fell over, he then came back and added, "That's so bad."

Pham had moved all in after the {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} with {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for bottom pair only and table neighbor Joshua Tieman called with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a set of eights. Nothing could win Pham the pot. His only hope was to chop.

The {6-Clubs} river ensured a split pot and Tieman could not believe his misfortune. "I only shoved because I played with him on Day 1. Good call man," Pham said to Tieman, who didn't blink or say a word, staring at the middle of the board.
