Daniel Negreanu Eliminated

Kid Poker Rivered
Kid Poker Rivered
Over at the featured TV table, Daniel Negreanu was fighting for his tournament life with a short stack. He lost most of his chips when Janne Lamsa caught a flush against him. Kid Poker hoped that he could get some of them back when he tangled with Lamsa in another hand.

Lamsa opened for a 10,000 raise. Negreanu moved all in for 37,300.

"Poker gets easy when you're short stacked," said Negreanu. "I don't care either way what you do."

After a minute of thinking, Lamsa called.

Negreanu: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Lamsa: {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

Negreanu was ahead. The flop was {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}. The turn was the {4-Clubs} giving Lamsa an opportunity to chop if a 6 fell. Lamsa's only chance to win the hand would be if a King spiked on the river. The dealer burned, then dealt the {K-Hearts}. Lamsa won the pot on a three-outer.

Negreanu shook his head and said, "I would have settled for a six and the chop."

Negreanu got a loud applause from the audience as he headed to the rail.
