Sherkan Farnood, who last night won the HORSE event, has just been eliminated from the PLO today. He was all in preflop and Justin Smith reraised the pot to 22,800 creating a sizeable side pot with Ilkka Koskinen and Bruno Fitoussi both calling. The flop was . Meanwhile, our on-the-spot photographer Neil Stoddart reports that chip leader Jason Mercier has just eliminated Jeff Kimber from the main event. Mercier won the hand with two pair (kings and fours), besting Kimber's unimproved aces. All of the money went in on a flop.

Golser and Ferguson check, Friberg bets 3,000 but Golser is the only caller. On the turn Golser checks again and Friberg bets 10,000 this time, but Golser quickly moves all in for another 15,000 or so and Friberg is equally quick in mucking his cards.
Sorel Mizzi bet out from the small blind after the turn came resulting in an board. Phil Laak called from the next seat, but Erik Friberg folded from the button.
The river came and Mizzi led out for 10,050 and Laak called very quickly. Mizzi showed for the second nuts which was good for the pot.
