Deeb Killing Time...

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb
"Timex," that is. One hand after Mike McDonald won his biggest pot of the tournament, Shaun Deeb recaptured his lost chips and then some with the elimination of his young counterpart.

Deeb opened the pot with another preflop raise and upon seeing this, McDonald remarked, "How many chips do I want to win this hand?" McDonald made the call and saw the flop come {2-Clubs} {9-Spades} {K-Clubs}.

Deeb then made a continuation bet of about 13,000, according to his estimations, and McDonald responded by raising the pot. Holding {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades}, Deeb responded with a raise of his own, unknowingly putting McDonald to a decision for the rest of his chips.

McDonald made the call and turned over {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {10-Spades}. Needing a club, a queen, an ace or a ten to stay alive, McDonald watched as the board blanked out {8-Spades}, {9-Hearts}, clinching the pot for Deeb.

Rough math would indicate that Shaun should have just over 300,000 in chips at the moment, but we'll get a better count after he finishes stacking the chips.
