Stop! Bubble Time

Yup, we are down to 37 runners and, unless two of them bust out on separate tables simultaneously, only 36 of them are getting paid. Our four separate rooms are now attempting to go hand for hand -- hope there are enough TDs on the floor! Either way, we expect play to go rather more slowly for the next few minutes at least. Please stand by.

It's Not Over for Ristola

Markus Ristola doubled up to 160,000 and simultaneously reduced Konstantin Buecherl to 115,000 after getting his chips in preflop to a raise from Buecherl.

Buecherl: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}
Ristola: {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds}

Board: {6-Spades} {10-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}

Not in the Munny

The next hand after taking a chunk out of Antoine Saout, Matt Hawrilenko reraised all in to a a late position raise from Ian Munns. Munns called, and they were on their backs.

Hawrilenko: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}
Munns: {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}

Board: {4-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {5-Clubs} constituting the absolute worst way for Munns to lose

Thus our former chip daddy departs, while Hawrilenko is up to 580,000.

Saout Loses the Lead

Mr. Antoine Saout's hold on the chip lead has been released, and a good chunk of his stack is now in the paws of Matt Hawrilenko.

Saout raised to 14,000 and it folded around to Hawrilenko in the small blind who made it 46,000. An expressionless dwell from Saout and some faffing from the TV crews, and eventually a call followed by a flop.

Flop: {A-Hearts} {2-Spades} {6-Clubs}

Hawrilenko bet out 60,000 and Saout dwelled again. Then he called.

Turn: {8-Spades}

Both players checked and this street took less time than the others for that reason.

River: {4-Diamonds}

Hawrilenko now bet 90,000 and once more Saout disappeared into the tank. Eventually he came out again and called -- but Hawrilenko turned over {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} and Saout, presumably unable to beat it, mucked.

Saout - 370,000.

Ramming it Home

Ram Vaswani has doubled up on the feature table with {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} versus the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} of Eric Liu, the board coming a buttock clenching {10-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

Vaswani - 335,000
Liu - 227,500

Play That Fungy Music

On a {9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board, Daniel Negreanu bet 16,500 and Steven Fung called. The river came the {6-Diamonds} and Negreanu bet again, this time to the tune of 36,500. After tanking, Fung called.

"I have ace high," said Negreanu, in the tone of someone you'd expect to be announcing a strong hand. Fung showed {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}. "Yeah, that's good," continued Negreanu.

Boat for Gould

Peter Gould and Saar Wilf reached the river of a {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} board where Gould led for 48,000. "It doesn't make sense," said Wilf. "Pay to see," replied Gould. And pay he did, only to be shown {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

"God!" boomed Wilf in frustration. "Nice hand." Wilf down to 100,000.
