D'Angelo Dispatches of Robl

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Ryan D'Angelo is through to the second round after seeing off Andrew Robl heads-up.

D'Angelo was trailing by two-to-one but fought back valiantly to beat Robl. The major turning point was when D'Angelo raised to 900 on the button, Robl three-bet to 3,000 only to see D'Angelo four-bet to 6,600. Robl checked his cards and moved all in and D'Angelo made the call.

Robl{A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}
D'Angelo{A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}

D'Angelo was in horrible shape, that is until the {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop and when the turn and river were the {7-Clubs} and {9-Diamonds} respectively Robl was left nursing a micro stack of 1,300.

These went into the pot the very next hand holding {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and D'Angelo called with {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. The board ran out {K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Spades} and with that Robl was sent packing and D'Angelo goes through to Day 2 with 74,500 chips.
