Paus from Zero to Hero

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Rifat Palevic's pot-sized bet on the {J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} river was called by Nihad Kvrgic and Palevic turned over {K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a set of deuces, while his opponent said "well done" and mucked {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Soon after, the always active Palevic bet the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop for 16,000 and Mustafa Jukovic called before Dominik Paus moved all in. Palevic asked for the 16,000 chips to be pulled in and Paus was at risk for another 27,500. Palevic folded and Jukovic eventually called.

Dominik Paus: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}
Mustafa Jukovic: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The {5-Spades} turn and {7-Clubs} river were blanks and Paus, who only had 9,000 a few hands ago, raked in another massive pot. But that was not the end of it yet.

Nihad Kvrgic was all in for 8,000 and another played moved all in for 12,200. Jukovic, Paus and Palevic all called and the flop fell {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Paus bet the pot and that forced out Jukovic and Palevic. Paus flipped over {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, while Krvgic had {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}. The third player in the hand held {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts} and the {K-Clubs} turn and {J-Diamonds} river chopped up the remaining chips of Krvgic.

Jukovic lost most of his chips the very next hand and was left with a mere 4,000.
