Gus Hansen limped in on the button again, and Jim Collopy once more made it 58,000 to go. Hansen made the call, and they saw a flop.
Flop:
Collopy bet out 72,000. There ensued a call.
Turn:
Collopy bet out again, this time a pretty hefty 148,000. Again, Hansen just flat-called. This was turning into a big pot.
River:
There would be no more betting from Collopy, who instead now checked with an air of resignation. And indeed, Hansen now bet 325,000, and a moment later Collopy folded.
Further unhappiness for Jim Collopy as he made it 40,000 from the button and furthermore called the reraise to 105,000 from Gus Hansen in the big blind.
Hansen bet out 133,000 on the flop and Collopy called, before both players reverted to checking down the turn and river - this last check from Hansen most sneaky, as he turned over for a mostly unpaid straight. Collopy mucked, and dropped further to 1.2 million.
A few hundred grand headed back whence they came into the stack of Jim Collopy, as he finally won a decent-sized pot.
Gus Hansen limped on the button and called Collopy's raise to 67,000. He also swiftly called Collopy's 78,000 bet on the flop.
They both checked the turn, but Collopy bet out another 172,000 on the river. Hansen called, but couldn't beat Collopy's pocket , and while the stacks are still weighted on the side of Hansen, we've already seen Collopy come back from extreme short-stackage once today against Ram Vaswani, and one should not discount the possibility of another impressive comeback in this match.
Gus Hansen's lead is back to around 2:1 over Jim Collopy after he limped on the button and called Collopy's 78,000 raise preflop and called another 84,000 from Collopy on the flop.
Collopy opted to check the turn and called Hansen's 127,000 bet, but check-folded to 411,000 from Hansen on the river.
Jim Collopy actually managed to drop down to around 1.1 million, but two small pots went his way to put him back up to one and a quarter million.
Pot #1
They limped and checked their way all the way down to the river of the board, when Collopy bet out 28,000. Hansen called and mucked to Collopy's .
Pot #2
Again, they limp/checked their way to a flop (there's a lot of limping going on, and the pots are mostly staying appropriately small) - this time the flop was . Collopy bet out 28,000; Hansen called.
Collopy checked the turn and called 53,000 from Hansen. They saw a river, and this time they both checked. Collopy was first to turn over his cards - - and Hansen didn't have to, opting to muck instead.
...Is what it says on the clock, anyway, but there's a big hand still going on and threatening to eat up the whole of the break. More on that in a moment...
Jim Collopy raised in position and called a three-bet from Gus Hansen to see a flop. Hansen led out for 157,000. Collopy called.
The turn was the and Hansen disappeared into the tank, scratching his head, playing with his chips (he does this odd thing where he fans out a stack of chips, then pulls them back into a stack; we've seen Theo Jorgensen doing something similar so we hypothesise that it's a Danish thing). Eventually he bet out 384,000.
Collopy folded quickly, and is down to 1.16 million as they head out on their bathroom break.
