First Blood to Feldman

First hand back and Andrew Feldman bumped his stack up ever so slightly (but it all counts!) to 340,000.

Feldman raised to 33,000 form the button and Gus Hansen called before very firmly checking the {5-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} flop with repeated tapping on the felt. Feldman bet 36,000, Hansen folded, and the pot was Feldman's. Simple as that.

Feldman Falls Further

Andrew Feldman is down to 260,000 chips after folding to a Gus Hansen river bet. They saw a {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop that was checked to the {3-Diamonds} turn. Hansen led for 36,000 from the BB and Feldman tank-called. The river came {a-Hearts} and Hansen led for 86,000. Feldman thought long and hard again but ultimately folded.

BigQueso Gets Bigger

After almost evening the stacks right at the end of the last level, Jim "Mr_BigQueso" Collopy has now snatched the lead from Ram Vaswani.

Collopy made the opening raise from the button before calling Vaswani's reraise to 106,000. Vaswani bet out 125,000 on the {5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Spades} flop and Collopy called that too.

They checked down the {9-Clubs} turn and {j-Diamonds} river and Vaswani flipped {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for ace-high - but Collopy triumphantly revealed {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a pair.

Collopy won the next hand as well, a rather smaller affair, but between these two hands he has increased his stack to 1.1 million. Vaswani is now below his starting stack on 820,000.

Timely Double for Feldman

Andrew Feldman
Andrew Feldman

Andrew Feldman has doubled-up up to 520,000 after a limped pot brought fireworks on the flop. It read {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Feldman check-raised Hansen's bet before snap-calling when he was set all-in by the Dane.

Feldman: {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Hansen: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} turn and river faded all counterfeit outs and it's game on again.

Limping Works This Time

A limped pot cost Gus Hansen dear a short while ago but this time it worked out okay for him, although it wasn't looking like it at one point. Feldman checked his option to see a {10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop before he check-raised Hansen's 22,00 bet up to 58,00. Call. The turn came {q-Spades} and Feldman check-folded to a 93,000 bet.

Andrew Feldman, Not Fishman, Eliminated in 4th Place (£96,212)

Andrew Feldman - going 4th
Andrew Feldman - going 4th

Andrew Feldman opened to 33,000 from the button and Gus Hansen made it 88,000 to go. Back to Feldman, who pushed for his last 269,000 on top.

Hansen counted out the call, but didn't actually make it. He tanked up for a while, checking his hole cards, pulling faces, and furiously stacking and restacking chips.

Then he called.

Feldman: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and made a noise like "Ffffffff!" when he saw Hansen's hand
Hansen: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Board: {9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}

Feldman's mini-comeback was over, and he exited in fourth place.

"Gus Hansen has gone through against Andrew Fishman..." announced the TD, giving the unfortunate Feldman an accidental rubdown.

"Kick him when he's down!" called out the British rail.

We'll be seeing Mr. Hansen later for the final.

Clubbed on the Turn

Jim Collopy was the biggest aggressor on the turn of a {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} board to take a pot down. Collopy had raised to 35,000 pre-flop and was called before both checked the flop. It was Vaswani who led on the turn for 50,000 but he folded to a raise to 141,00 by the young gun.

Chips:
Collopy: 1,070,000
Vaswani: 850,000
