Queso Fights Back

Jim Collopy was in position as he and Ram Vaswani saw a {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop. Vaswani checked, Collopy bet 33,000, Vaswani called, and they saw a turn.

Turn: {a-Hearts}

Vaswani checked again and this time the bet from Collopy was 72,000, a very significant chunk of his remaining stack. Again, Vaswani made the call and they were at the river.

River: {5-Clubs}

Vaswani checked a third time, and this time Collopy paused for a moment - before resolutely sliding his last 250,000 across the line. Vaswani never looked as though he was really considering a call at all, and within seconds he'd folded.

Collopy is still at a 3:1 disadvantage, though, on 470,000 to Vaswani's 1.45 million.
