As the Wynn Millions winds down this weekend, another great tournament just kicked off here in the 2021 Wynn Summer Classic.

The Wynn Summer Classic $1,600 buy-in, $1.5 million GTD Mystery Bounty Event is sure to be a lot of fun. The tournament, which has four opening flights, starts players with 30,000 in chips and will play 40-minute levels. Day 2 of the tournament will be live reported by PokerNews.

Here's how it works:

  • Each player on Day 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D (July 2-5) will be designated as a $100 bounty. A player who eliminates another player will win $100 from the bounty prize pool.
  • At the beginning of each Day 1, all players will receive a $100 bounty casino chip. Players are responsible for keeping their $100 bounty chip visible and on the table at all times. Any casino chips won as a result of eliminating another player may be removed from the table.
  • Each player advancing to Day 2, will get to collect $100 from the Bounty prize in exchange for their own Bounty chip.
  • Each player who has advanced to Day 2 on July 6, 2021 will be designated as a “Mystery” Bounty.
  • On Day 2, a player eliminating another player will receive a voucher for a “Mystery” Bounty prize . “Mystery” Bounty prizes may be redeemed by presenting your “Mystery” Bounty prize voucher to the Tournament staff located at the designated redemption location, at which time a Wynn representative will randomly withdraw an envelope from the drum on behalf of the player to reveal their “Mystery” Bounty prize.
  • “Mystery” Bounty prize amounts will be determined based on actual Tournament Entry fees received and displayed in the Tournament area prior to the beginning of the Tournament restart on Day 2.
  • The “Mystery” Bounty prize pool and prize amounts may not be altered. In the event that the Tournament concludes in a deal or chop, the bounty prize for each player will be randomly drawn by the Wynn representative and awarded accordingly.
  • All “Mystery” Bounty prizes will be displayed in the Tournament area prior to the beginning of the Tournament restart on Day 2.
  • “Mystery” Bounty prizes will range in value from $500 to $100,000.

Registration and re-entries for each starting flight will be available until the start of Level 10 (through the dinner break - approximately 7:30 p.m.).

Clayton Maguire Leads; Moreno, Lewis and Yaginuma Contest as Wynn Millions Plays Down to Final Table

Clayton Maguire and Andrew Moreno

It is time for Day 5 of the$10,000 buy-in, $10,000,000 GTD Wynn Millions which will begin at noon local rime.

Yesterday the field was whittled down from 61 to 18 at a very surprising fast pace, meaning today’s action will feature deeper play as 14 of the remaining 18 players have a chip stack of between 40 and 100 big blinds meaning there is much to be determined today, as the pay jumps become very significant. The first player eliminated today in 18th will take home $97,271, and then it will jump to $111,671 for 17th and 16th, 15th-14th ( $128,645), 13th-12th ($148,456) and 11th-10th ($172,654). Meaning players can nearly double their winnings just by making it through today.

Making it through today is much easier said than done though as the remaining field is full of poker crushers. Including the chip leader Clayton Maguire who has a stack of 4.93 million (99 big blinds). His top career poker score thus far is a $368,159 win twelve years ago in EPT Monte Carlo, meaning anything 5th or better here would make for his largest career score.

Taking the felt today aiming for the $2,018,866 first-place prize are Salim Admon (4.575 million), Philip Shing (4.32 million), Dylan Smith (4.14 million), and Julian Milliard (3.865 million), who round out the top five. Plus, WSOP bracelets winner Sandeep Pulusani (3.845 million) and Anthony Marquez (825,000), Andrew Moreno (3.255 million), Toby Lewis (2.665 million), and WPT champ Ilyas Muradi (2.3 million).

The remaining 18 players will combat today all the way down to a final table, where play will be stopped for the final 9 who will then return to play down to the title on Saturday July 3 at noon local time.

PokerNews will have all the coverage today, as 18 will become 9 for the Wynn Millions final table.
