Ziff Needed All of it and More

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Pedro Ingles raised it up from under the gun and Cliff Ziff three-beet from the hijack. The action folded back to Ingles who four-bet shoved all in and Ziff quickly called off his last 1,270,000 chips.

Cliff Ziff: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Pedro Ingles: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} which got Ziff excited after taking a commanding lead. The {8-Spades} and {4-Diamonds} runout changed nothing and Ziff pull off the "lawnmower" move as he earned a big double-up.

Ziff Flops a Boat

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ron McMillen opened to 100,000 from under the gun and Cliff Ziff put in a three-bet to 250,000 in the hijack. The rest of the table folded and McMillen made the call.

The flop came {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and McMillen check-called a bet of 75,000 from Ziff. On the {5-Hearts} turn both players slowed down with a check to the {10-Hearts} river.

McMillen checked a third time and Ziff tossed out a bet of 100,000. McMillen quickly called and was shown the bad news when Ziff tabled {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped full house to score the pot.

Anderson Takes a Hit Courtesy of Goulder

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alex Goulder raised to 90,000 in the cutoff and was called by Calvin Anderson on the button. The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {5-Hearts} on the turn.

Goulder checked again and Anderson tossed in a bet of 115,000. Goulder called and the {k-Hearts} completed the board. Goulder checked for the third time and Anderson put together a bet of 235,000.

Goulder check-raised to 850,000 and Anderson counted his chips while intently staring at his opponent. He eventually pushed in the chips to call and Goulder tabled {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for a set of threes to scoop the pot.

Not Enough for Ralston to Stay Alive

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Sara Ralston
Sara Ralston

Sara Ralston moved all in for her last 300,000 chips from the hijack. Zhigang Yang flat-called from the cutoff and the rest of the table folded.

Sara Ralston: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Zhigang Yang: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Yang picked up a set of fives while Ralston held a straight and flush draw. The {q-Spades} on the turn was not enough for Ralston and the {9-Hearts} on the river improved Yang to a full house.

Powers Finds Favorable Runout To Stay Alive

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Mark Zajdner opened the action to 80,000 from under the gun and it folded to Jacob Powers in the cutoff who moved all in for roughly 820,000. The rest of the table got out of the way and Zajdner snap-called to put Powers at risk.

Jacob Powers: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Mark Zajdner: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Powers was in need of help against the better ace for Zajdner, and when the board ran out {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}, he was fortunate enough to find a chop to stay alive in the tournament.

Straight Flush for Bronshtein

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A completed board of {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} was spread across the felt with around 300,000 chips in the pot. Yuval Bronshtein led out with a bet of 75,000 from the small blind and Amir Emami went into the tank for over two minutes before sliding out a raise to 400,000.

Bronshtein countered with a re-raise to 1,200,000 and Emami thought for a bit again before dumping his cards to the muck.

"I gotta show this one," Bronshtein announced as he turned over {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for a straight flush.
