When asked why he started playing poker three years ago, Simon Ravnsbaek simply replied, “I like the challenge”. The economics student from Denmark has recently switched over to live cash games and tournaments after playing almost exclusively online. Playing No Limit Texas Holdem, Simon can usually be found playing ring games online, where he has been a consistent winner at the $1000 tables. Having played in a few tournaments throughout Europe, Simon is fairly experienced and hopes to use this to his advantage in his first appearance at the World Series Main Event. Other than poker, Simon keeps himself entertained by playing soccer and kite surfing.
