Play Concludes for the Day
That is it. Play has concluded for the evening and all players who made it through will come back on Tuesday for Day 2a. Some big names still in are former WSOP Champions Joe Hachem, Dan Harrington, Scotty Nguyen and Berry Johnston.

Team PokerNews Doing Well
Team PokerNews player Shane Beckham has won a nice pot.
He was on the button when the action was folded around to him and he decided to make it 3,000 preflop. The big blind then decided to reraise it to 9,000 total and Shane called.
On a flop of
the big blind lead out with a bet of 10,000 and Shane called. The turn brought the

"Miami" John Cernuto dodged a major bullet after getting all of his money into the pot preflop holding pocket eights against an opponent's pocket jacks.
