It's hard to argue that this field wasn't of top-notch quality. There were plenty of big names and excellent players in the field, despite having a small number. The final table is stacked with talent.

This tournament has really gone down the tubes. Having all of the premier players in Monte Carlo combined with the over-saturation of tournaments in Vegas leading up to the WSOP has all but rendered this tournament dead.
