Brian Nguyen Eliminated in 23rd Place ($6,902)

Brian Nguyen battled for a few hands with his short stack, but has finally fallen in 23rd place.

After going all in and chopping one hand, Nguyen then found himself all in again against Pete Rios, with Nguyen holding {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Rios {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The board came {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}, and Nguyen survived with fours and fives.

That brought Nguyen up to 133,000, but soon Rios was raising to 33,000 from the hijack seat, Nguyen was reraising all in from the cutoff, and Rios called.

Rios held {A-Spades}{3-Hearts} this time while Nguyen had {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The flop came {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to put Rios in front. The turn was the {8-Spades} and river the {9-Clubs}, thereby ending Nguyen's WSOP Circuit Harrah's Resort Atlantic City run.
